Current Focus
Doug is currently focused on LLM tooling, agents, evaluation, fine-tuning, and local inference. Since December 2025, he has been building PodwiseGPT, a conversational RAG system for podcasts combining transcription, per-episode embeddings, multilingual chat, and timestamped source quotes.
Most recently, he advised Hashgraph / Hedera on product strategy across core protocol and platform surfaces, including HTS, smart contracts, EVM compatibility, consensus, SDKs, mirror nodes, and asset tokenization. His work focused on translating developer, ecosystem, and institutional needs into product and roadmap priorities.

Thesis · Head of Product, Project Lead
Doug led product for Threshold Network and tBTC, a decentralized Bitcoin bridge into Ethereum and DeFi that now secures 6,000+ BTC.
He helped execute the first on-chain merger of two live protocols, led a 20-person team across UX, UI, engineering, marketing, and developer relations spanning five time zones, secured more than $8M in grants and ecosystem funding, and helped deliver six years of live operation with zero security incidents.
Rhombus · Co-Founder & CEO
Doug co-founded Rhombus, where he built a high-throughput oracle platform connecting real-world data to smart contracts. He grew the company to multi-year SaaS contracts with customers including ConsenSys and MakerDAO, then negotiated its acquisition by Chainlink Labs. Rhombus technology subsequently contributed to Chainlink's Proof of Reserve work.
ConsenSys · VP of Product
Doug incubated Rhombus inside ConsenSys while leading product across Ethereum developer and institutional infrastructure, including Infura and Alethio analytics.
He helped grow platform adoption from zero to more than 65,000 weekly active developers and authored an early modular-oracle whitepaper describing an architecture for bringing external data into smart contracts.
Earlier Companies & Exits
Doug co-founded v2 Ratings, an ML-driven quantitative investment data platform acquired by Xynon; founded Occom, later acquired by Originate; and helped build JobCompass, which was subsequently sold.
He also served as Director of Engineering at Collective Decision Engines, where he built a quadratic-voting market research platform alongside Glen Weyl, Eric Posner, and Kevin Slavin.
